    Very interesting.
I don't understand why this is not an SBR, but if BATFE says it's not...
    Standard .223/5.56, or something else?
    Proprietary upper/lower?
Why can't you just pin an 11.5" upper on a PSA and call it the same thing?

    Something smells fishy.

I think someone else explored this a couple years ago. There is a set of specs that falls outside of (or inside of, depending on your perspective) of the parameters necessary to avoid the NFA. It seemed risky.

Apparently someone thinks the risk is overstated.

Interesting idea. Many of us with AR pistols are only a regular stock away from creating a "Firearm". I am not going to risk it though. Even if multiple manufacturers jump on the band wagon, it is only a rule change away from being made illegal. Of course as soon as the lame stream media gets a hold of this, the panic articles will be pandering to the legislative nannies to close the loophole.

I'm really baffled how they are getting away with this. It will be interesting to see how this goes, the entire 16in barrel regulation is complete BS to begin with. Maybe this is the beginning of the end for those regulations.
