    This is horrible.

    Trophy to whoever guesses the name of the first person that politicizes this and demands "common sense" gun laws, without any actual facts having come out yet.

    Also, the news said there was an armed, uniformed deputy on duty at the school when it went down. Of course, I never know what to believe in the news these days.....

    I know nothing other than the article that I skimmed over. Even if there was one there, unless they were right on top of it when it happened it doesn't take long to pull the trigger and even reload a lot of times. Especially in a highly populated and concentrated area like a school. I'm surprised most school shootings aren't worse for this reason. The only way to prevent these things is to better control over who and what enters the schools. When I worked security at a high school it was insane how many of the doors were constantly unlocked or left open and how anyone could just waltz in and get a visitors pass without any questioning.
