    Off the Grid In Tennessee
    One post lots of questions:

I want to get the Sights changed on my STI I made the mistake of getting big dots put on it. I have been texting a local guy. Its been about four weeks now in that time I have sent three texts. Inquiring first text was Brownells lost the order, then he said he would get back with me. So today I text him he says front sight is on back order with no eta.

1 would it work to get a U Notch from 10-8 tactical they appear to offer one that is compatible with the Big Dot. Or would that be just wasting more money?

2 How hard is it to press out the sights? Shouldn't most any competent smith be able to do it?

3 should I just look elsewhere and replace both sights?

I want to carry it more often so I really want something that is more predictable than the Xs sights.

    Thanks

I'd ditch the big dot entirely. Depending on use and how you process color, etc. I'd look at Dawson Precision, Trijicon HDs, or Heinie straight 8.
