Unfortunately, I don't think the focus will be on the target areas being gun free zones. Although many reasonable people can make the connection, I'm not sure the public at large gets it, and it plays into the hands of the Bloomberg Magical Thinkers who believe banning firearms will stop the shootings.

What's to bet that the shooter was either a prohibited person and/or acquired the firearm illegally? Clearly he was not concerned about the campus GFZ rules or the laws against murder.

In other words: a domestic dispute between a student and his parents, that took place in his dorm room. The student fled, and it is doubtful that any other students are inherently at risk. But, the Bullying Mommies will still call this a "school shooting", of course.
