Wow! Just wow! No wonder I love my S&W Model 29 reloaded with 240 Grain Hornady XTP's with a stout load of powder. Just fun!!!

    Very interesting.
I love the way it appears that when the temporary cavity collapses, the unburned gasses reignite, and then expel the gas back out of the front face of the gel.

    Key word.

Better to have a caliber that can than a caliber that can't.

No one who insists that energy doesn't matter in handgun calibers has ever been able to tell me why .357 magnum has been observably more effective than .38 special in police shootings.

I've yet to see studies which come anywhere near being inclusive enough to draw meaningful conclusions. There are far too many variables in real world situations to declare any handgun caliber superior to another. The "data" available when .38 & .357 were the predominant calibers in LE is far from complete.

Shot placement is everything with any handgun caliber. Rifles are superior all the way around.

The fight was stopped by a .44 mag to the kneecap. The interview is well worth your time.
phylodog failed to mention that a shotgun can be a fight stopper as well.
