After reading that Google fu From BBI I can see why the SSA needs a few armed agents.
When you are gonna take away somebody’s government check they might get violent quick.

I am a new civilian so is a ND/AD the same career killer in the civilian world as it is in the Army?

Office of the Inspector General (OIG) in (probably) all federal entities has an Investigations Division. These are Federal Po-Po and handle what the CID/AFOSI/NCIS do for the military branches, minus the counter-Intel mission.

Fraud, theft, drugs, fraudulently stealing drugs, etc.

A billion here, a billion there an pretty soon we're talking about real money....

    • According to the Social Security Administration, all improper payments, including payments to the deceased and the very old, are estimated at about $3 billion per year.

Not bad considering SS/Medicare is the largest part of federal spending. I read a few years ago that total fraud/loss in federal spending was $40B/yr. That means other federal programs have REALLY bad loss rates.

It states he has to show proficiency with his firearm quarterly. Wouldn't part of that proficiency show competence with holstering your firearm? I don't know about anyone else but I attach my holster to my belt BEFORE putting my pistol in it.
