Anyone have any experience with them thoughts, opinions?
    Thanks

Good for kids, resists most rookie thieves, will not stop pry attack, fire rating dubious.

Any safe you buy, ALWAYS bolt it down. Thieves will steal the entire safe to work on later.

My goal is to add another safe mostly to help organize things and keep things out of sight.

We have other measures in place as well. The other safe has steel under the floor in the crawl space which it is bolted through, not fool proof but I think a good deterant

I am not sure if they have recently changed this but Winnie safes have had a default combination that can be found on the internet. A crook will have it memorized and can be in your safe faster than you can, but then locks are just to keep honest people honest...

Yeah, that's common with electronic locks. You're supposed to change it.

Or is this also true of the mechanical locks?

For those who may be reading this: There's a smoking deal on a Johnson safe in the classifieds. Take his price he has listed and then figure $300-400 or so to move it from his house to yours. And it's still a smoking deal for what you get.
