    Interesting article. Thanks for sharing. The pictures tell the story. You always hear, ''If only this gun could talk." This one here definitely "talks" and what a story it has to tell.

    I have a medical kit with a couple bullet holes in it from WW2 with part of slug still inside. Grandpa was stationed in Philippines so I would assume that is where it came from. Never got to talk to him. Definitely a fantastic piece of history even with the terrible circumstances surrounding it. Love seeing this kind of stuff and glad whomever let it be shared. Big Thank You to all who have served,including both my grandpas in WW2.

    My grandpa was there in the winter 1944. Got a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

    He had all kinds of hilarious stories about his time in Europe during WWII, but none of them were about his time in the Ardennes Forest.
