One could easily make some money doing this. LGS should head down there with an inventory of Jennings, Bryco, High Points, etc.

Ignorance abounds. Seems like they are diverting tax payer money in a foolish way.

No questions asked? So, a criminal can turn in their piece-o-junk .22 Jennings and buy a more reliable handgun for their next hold-up or even (gasp!) an AR15.

MAN....wish I lived closer. I have an at least 80 year old beat up, rusty single shot twelve gauge in the barn. It still works. I would gladly turn it in for $500 considering it is worth $0.

This may have an unintended effect of increasing the murders in NOLA by creating a quick, easy, legal, highly profitable market for cheapo handguns. As if NOLA needed another reason to kill. People will be killing for a Bryco.

This sounds like the "buy back" (sorry, you cannot buy back what you never owned to begin with) that had the organizers were paying $50 a mag.

And they say the wall is a waste of money.....

I`m surprised the Libs don`t use this type mindset and use it at the Border.........Instead of paying for the wall , Why don`t we just pay everyone $500 that tries to enter , to just turn around ......No questions asked .
With the way the New Math works .....it has to be cheaper . :)

Wish they would do that around here! I have a few firearms I purchased at RK just due to the price, Like the Heritage 22LR SA handgun at $129 and a few others! For $500 each, I might just let go of a few Mosins and SKS's!
