Funny. Still a novice but I had a chance to buy an AK made in Serbia a few years ago from a friend who passed 's widow. Always heard they fire under water, in mud, ect. ect.
I blew that chance.

Really? The cheapest AK is almost double the cheapest AR. WASR 10 runs $690 while a base AR can be found around $400 or less.
