A gun in his pocket "went off and hit him in the eye?"

That doesn't make much sense. What pocket was the gun in? Was he carrying with the barrel up?

There's got to be more to this story.

There's not much there. I am having a hard time picturing how you pull the trigger with the gun pointed at your eye, unless he had a lot of other garbage in his pocket that got wrapped around the trigger. But like you say, not much there at this point.

Wow, just WOW! If there's not a Paul Harvey moment on this one? It'll be a derringer or an NAA .22.

My read was that it wasn't a prop. It was his gun, pocket carry.

[A rising country music singer from Texas has died after a reported accidental shooting that happened with a gun that was being used as a music video prop.

According to Atherton, a gun that was going to be used for a music video shoot was the same one that ultimately killed Carter at his apartment.

"Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction".

It astonishes me how many people find that one sentence difficult to comprehend.
