    The part that goes in the mag well is composite, A steel runs through it and goes into the hasp.

    I was getting on board with these so I bough the speed lock they recommend. Went through two locks in two weeks. They are a serious no go for me. Halted my secure, quick access AR project.

    I thought the padlock they used was pretty nifty...until I saw the reviews on Amazon. When you have a higher percentage of 1-star reviews than 5-star reviews, that might not be a component you want to count on.

    As for the ARmA15, I like it.
