Franklin Armory Reformation. Not a handgun or rifle because it has no rifling. Instead it has lands and grooves. How does it shoot? Considering the bullets hit sideways, what a peice....

This is really weird. On one side, it tumbles the bullets, but on the other hand, the energy transfer would basically be 100%, turning soft tissue into mince. Hmmmm...

    Home Defense Only?
I'd rather just pay my "permission fee" and have my SBRs.
Most everything I have takes a suppressor. What would that smooth-bore 5.56 do to a suppressor?

Said to fly true for 10 feet, but i wouldn't want to try it. Now if there were a suppressor that could imbue a spin on that bullet. Still not something i would want to throw money at.

Braces have essentially made things like this idiotic. I'm all for trying to get around Hughes and the NFA, but this is ridiculous. For the price of that foolishness, you can get a 7.5" AR15 pistol, $200 tax stamp (plus misc fees), buy top shelf parts and STILL have money for a 7.5" compatible suppressor and tax stamp. I mean, literally.... things like this make no sense. I'm not going to wow people at the range with junk that shoots horrific.

And I can hear it now: But, but, DH, when the Socialists come to power in 2020, braces are on the list of 'to ban'.
You honestly think that things like this wouldn't be targeted after that? Or heck, even before they get to braces? They aren't going to care about technicalities the next time they come into power. They are going to ban all ARs on name, shape, function, including 'firearms". Bet they're chomping at the bit since the Fudds don't like Mossy/Rem Shockwave 'firearms' and since they aren't their hunting shotgun, they'll chase those too. They'll come down on loopholes, so be ready, buy what you can that will work instead of throwing money away on this junk.

Also for the 'buzzsaw bullet' crowd, 7N1 does the same thing and isn't the horrifying wounding mechanism you think it is. Out of a 7.5" AR15, M193 and M855 do not have the velocity to fragment (because they go sideways and break at the cannelure, but not if the velocity isn't high enough), even if you throw it sideways. Heck, you're probably losing more velocity than a rifled 7.5" because of the loose bore/bullet constriction. You're going to get a smidge bigger temp cav but barely any penetration worth noting, not to mention erratic wound track. I'll stick with soft points and stuff that is designed to expand or break up without gimmick, inaccurate tricks.

This thing is the double barreled 1911: It's got a purpose, but it's a waste of money and a gimmick.

Tim misinforms in that video in the first minute, ATF defines this gun as a non NFA weapon, but as a GCA shotgun, yes the reformation is a SHOTGUN, the only thing keeping it from being an NFA item is the fact that it doesn’t shoot shotgun shells.

So basically every FFL holder that has them in-stock now has a demo gun(s) that cannot be sold to a regular schmoe off the street until BATFE gets some stuff written up on transfer. I would hope that would've been addressed by FA before release!
