Yesterday we conducted weapons sweeps, dealt with a person injured from a van reversing on them, reported a burglary and collected all these from @scope charity shop who diligently didn’t want them to get into the wrong hands & disposed of correctly & safely

It's not the first time they bragged about it either.

There's also a fencing foil (where they've cut off the the blunt end in the picture), several bbq forks, a sharpening rod, and a letter opener.

What the hell happened to England?

If they get into a bind again and need to arm their people to defend the island I vote for not sending them any of our guns this time.

Here's another gem, this time from the Lancashire Constabulary.
https://www.lancashire.police.uk/help-advice/safer-communities/knife-crime/

Don't be a victim

If you feel you are in immediate danger from knife crime there are a number of steps you can take to protect yourself:

• Move away from the situation towards a public place (shop, house, restaurant etc.) as quickly as possible.
• Make as much noise as you can.
• Instead of carrying a knife, carry a personal alarm.
• Don't fight back.

In 1990, Kleck analyzed 378 cases of rape, and conclusively demonstrated that any resistance reduces the rate of completed rape from 48% to at least 25%.
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/249985228_Rape_and_Resistance

Kleck:
Further, both offering advice when it could be hurtful and remaining silent when the advice could be helpful entails risks to victims.
Shame on the UK police. They are either blissfully unaware, and therefore incompetent, or well-informed, and thus deliberately betray their people.
But then again, the people appear to support these policies, by and large.

I believe that in the UK, defending yourself can land you in jail. I remember an article about an elderly guy who fought off a mugger with an umbrella and he wound up being arrested. A really sick society.

Pretty much.

Wonderful quotes.
Tony Martin shot dead 16-year-old burglar Fred Barras and wounded his 29-year-old accomplice Brendon Fearon...

At trial, however, Martin failed in his claim of self-defence.

The court heard he had waited in the dark with a loaded, illegally-held pump-action shotgun...
How does one hold a shotgun... illegally?

Omari Roberts, 23, killed 17-year-old burglar Tyler Juett following a struggle...

New evidence had emerged, confirming Mr Roberts’ assertion that the gap in time between him forcing the 14-year-old accomplice to leave the house and being engaged in a struggle with Juett had not been long enough for him to call the police.
Homeowner, the victim, cleared of murder charges because... didn't have enough time to call the police.

Peter Flanagan, 59, was arrested on suspicion of murder after four masked men broke into his home and John Bennell, 27, ended up dying from a stab wound to the chest.

... The chief crown prosecutor for the north-west, ruled he had acted in self-defence and should face no further action.
In explaining his decision, Mr Afzal said Mr Flanagan had been confronted by a group of intruders, one of whom was armed with a machete.
Successfully fought off four (!) attackers, of whom at least one is armed with a machete in your own home? You'll still be arrested.

I just can't imagine the kind of sad, submissive slave mindset you would need to actually turn your kitchen knives into the freakin' police for "safety".

Monarchy'll do that to ya. What else would you expect when the people consider themselves subjects of the crown before all else?
Of course then that just turns the question back around on us. Considering the servile-minded in the United States -- What's our excuse?

There’s a spoon in the picture. They chose to include it and listed it as “dangerous.”

The only logical conclusion to this is that spoons do in fact make us fat.
