I've seen the argument stemming from the Chris Rock line "make the bullets $5,000" and the left jumping on it. Beyond the obvious.

    1. Shall not be infringed
    2. It would be impossible to do (black market)
    3. Reloading would make this not work

Give me some ammo as to why else this is a stupid idea when it comes to "gun control'.

Courts have already ruled this unconstitutional. I don't remember the case off the top of my head, but ammunition falls under "arms" because a firearm is useless without ammunition.

If the gun grabbers are super duper serious this time about banning guns, there is only one way to do it, and that's repealing the second amendment. The instructions are right in the Constitution. It's time for them to **** or get off the pot already.

Nothing, not one single thing that our society (or any other for that matter) has banned has actually gone away. Prohibition doesn't work, never has and never will.

Sorta perverse, but it tickles me that in every single British drama there's this one guy, pulling his Makarov or Sig or whatever out of the dresser drawer and fondling it.... I know, I know, unpossible.

Perfect response.. Thank you! I've added "Name one thing this country has banned, that is no longer available?"

neither has socialism but there’s a whole new batch of people in Congress who think it’ll work this time! (I.E. those who forget history are bound to repeat it!)

[FONT=&quot]The only remaining legal use of DDT is to control malaria-carrying mosquitoes. A devastating disease, malaria kills more than 800,000 people every year, the majority of deaths among children in Sub-Saharan Africa. Indoor spraying with DDT is one of a number of tools being used to control malaria around the world. Only in rare cases is it the most effective choice.

If you think the guys who work there don't 'occasionally bring some home'.........

How you gonna vote in 2020???

Well, usually I go to the local elementary school, wait in line, go to the registration desk or whatever it’s called. They look up my name, then I step into the booth, make my choices, print out my ballot, leave the booth, put my ballot through the counter, get the “I voted today” sticker. Then leave.

That’s probably how I’ll vote this time too.

    Eventually they will ban freedom.

That is the goal. They live in a zoo mentality. Make comfy cages for the lower class (everyone but them) and we should be happy in our govt. approved lives. I have no idea how the Brits and Aussies let that happen to them but I don’t think that mindset flies here.

I prefer the Serengeti mindset. Life a free life and harden yourself to the messiness that it entails. I’d much prefer messy freedom than tidy containment.

Last time I stopped by the range in cook county, they were still charging $.05 / round ammo tax.... such a coincidence that cabelas is on exit 2 east of the border...
