Menards is changing the safe brands that we are stocking and as a result there are some bargains on the old brands that are in the stores. There is also an additional 11% rebate through tomorrow. Columbus has a total of 15 safes on Clearance.
Check these SKU numbers online to see what the store near you might have:

Thanks for the heads up. Do we know if the price listed online is the clearance price or if we are expecting it to be less than the price shown online?

It will show the Everyday Low Price, then the Sale Price which is what you will pay. The rebate is a separate item which ends on Saturday.

Ok, thanks. Wasn't sure if I was expecting clearance pricing on top of what was displayed. Good to know I can go by the pricing on the site.

I bought a 36 gun model (similar to the 4808921, only larger) there several years ago. They had a Black Friday sale but had a couple that were damaged so they didn't sell. I went later in December and they gave me the BF deal, plus a discount for being damaged, plus the 11%.

I ended up paying a little over $200 for it.

No, it's not a super secure safe like some out there, but it will keep the smash and grab guy out. That's if he can even find it. Plus, where it's at, it's not coming out. I'll have to sell it with the house when I move.

Not trying to poo-poo on OP's post, but is this the same safe?

    https://www.costco.com/Stack-On-Total-Defense-40-Gun-FireWaterproof-Safe.product.100471371.html
    https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/p...n-fire-resistant-waterproof-safe-silver-black
    https://www.menards.com/main/p-1500649201825-c-19101.htm

    Costco final price is $599.99.

TS final price is $764.99 (different exterior color).

It's listed at $871.31 at Menard's - $979 out the door and then you have to mail in the rebate application. Did Menard's raise the everyday price in advance of the clearance? I'm just not seeing the bargain if these are all the same safes.

Right now the West Lafayette Menards has a USED double drop-safe, obviously from their office, on sale for $300.
It is a fairly nice looking (quality wise) and has Seargents Greenleaf locks.

Not a bad deal, but I already have a drop-safe and I don't really need another.

If anyone is interested in that safe call the West Lafayette Menards.
Remember, you can change the combination on those S&G locks...

Last consumer-grade residential security container I bought was at a MC Sports at a black Friday sale some years ago. It was the last consumer/retail/big box store model that I saw on a showroom floor with a dial combo lock.

If I'd have known that, I would have bought 2. Seems like just everything in consumer-grade retail since then only comes with a cheap electronic keypad lock.

Anyone know what size/model they are or they probably vary by store/location...
I don't know for sure, but I would imagine these were all pretty standardized in the stores built in the last 16 years. My training in the front office was over 16 years ago and I do not believe there has been any changes to the equipment until now. Call one of the stores near you and talk with one of the General Managers. They should have the particulars.

The one I looked at was approximately 24" wide by 18"-20" deep by about 26"-28" high.
Roll type drop drum in the top, with two locking doors containg the combination locks.
