First to all my brothers and sisters who serve or have served,
    "Happy Veterans Day",
this is our day, brought to you by you.
Freedom is not free, but in my secure collection.
    1911 Colt pistol, 1915,
    1911A1 Remington Rand pistol 1943,
    1911A1 Ithaca pistol 1943,
    M1 Garand Springfield Oct 1941,
    if only they could talk.
    What stories could they tell?
    Battle? Guard duty? Who knows...
but they couldn't have done anything without heros like you!
Bless you all, today is truly our day!

P.S my almost (his birthday is next week) seven year old first grade grandson has invited "me" to his school in Avon for a Veterans Day event.
Wow, I think I'll wear my 2nd Inf Div hat.

    1962 to 1966 U.S.A.F.
President Trump is the first president to attend the VETERAN'S day parade in N.Y.C..
He stood proud for the American Veteran.

Texas Corral restaurants is again honoring our VETERANs with a free meal.
You must ask for the special menu.
I think it has about a dozen selections.
I know they are all very good choices.

My dad and I are vets. We celebrated by going shooting. I brought veteran firearms: a USGI Colt 1903 .32 acp, a Remington Rand 1911a1, a Colt 1917 DA in .45 acp, and a Rockola M1 carbine. We then adjourned to City Barbecue for an excellent lunch. A good time was had by all!
