My illuminated reticle in my Burris XTR II 1-5×24 quit functioning early on day 1 of the 2-day carbine class. I tried 3 different new CR2032 batteries of different companies, but the illuminated part of the reticle would not function on any setting. Next step was contacting the Burris Warranty Deptartment. Naturally they were closed on the weekend, but I submitted my case.

    They emailed the following instructions:

The 2-4 week timeframe was reasonable. I followed the instructions, paid the UPS postage, and shipped it off to Colorado. Suddenly my MBUS were invaluable!

It arrived on 11/18/19. It was processed on 11/19/19. On 11/21/19 I got the details:

I got an email of the shipping notification on 11/22/19 meaning the label was printed and my scope was waiting on a UPS pick up. Delivery was 11/27/19 (factor in a weekend). I opened the box and it was the same model 100% brand new.

That means I have an extra mount, rings, etc., oh, and another Burris Fastfire 3 to put on something. Now to mount this and dial it in.

Great communication, great turn around, all I was out was the shipping cost, great warranty, so this is the story of a satisfied customer of the Burris Forever Warranty.

I have Burris Scopes on both of my .308 rifles. I like the scopes. Fortunately I have not had to use their warranty. One of the rifles did get through from a UTV and rolled down a steep, rocky hill. The scope survived and maintained zero.

I did not fill out my registration initially. After three years I had given up on the illumination system on a Burris scope that I had. It was finnicky from the start and became unusable after two years.

I got tired of seeing it lying around and decided to give their "forever warranty" a try. They took the scope back. I had to pay for the postage. It took about twelve weeks but ultimately they said they couldn't repair the scope so they sent me a new one.

Two experiences with Burris CS, positive results both times.

The other was a FF3 that broke on a 44 lever action.

Earlier this year I sent back my 1990s Burris 7X IER handgun scope that had a cracked internal lens and it was repaired under the lifetime warranty. Took a while to get it back but this is also a discontinued scope. Very pleased with Burris customer service.
