paypal WILL deduct your money for a claim even if you have already transferred to your bank account. they will automatically get it from your attached bank account (if no funds you will be overdrawn). if using paypal for someone you dont know only take a "gift". a "gift" cannot be taken back and they cannot say they never received your item. i have taken many "gifts" on paypal and have never had an issue. i have however taken "payment for item" and had the buyer say they never received it almost 2 months later!! i had tracking number where it showed item was delivered, paypal did not side with me and sided with the buyer, they took the entire $$ from my account which i didnt have in there at the time so it took it from my attached bank account.

If it's not a scam, they tried really hard to make it look like one. Paypal can reverse funds from your bank account in the name of fraud. If it were someone here I'd be ok discretely transacting.

Yup I have learned the HARD WAY.
Tracking number alone is worthless when dealing with paypal.

ONLY SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION BY THE BUYER AT ADDRESS THEY HAVE ON FILE WITH PAYPAL ***MAY*** SAVE YOU. Even then it's a long delay on getting those funds.

There's a reason that the state lotteries, casinos, hookers, illegal laborers, moonshiners and drug dealers only accept cash in FTF transactions.

It'd be great to just deal with INGOers through our classifieds right here wouldn't it?

Honestly, I mostly do. Just took delivery of a black Friday rifle from Cabela's. BMV Bob at the gun counter made dxmn good and sure I'll never do that again. Dick.

I just was able to get back and follow up a look here to get the feedback.
It's been one of those busy days where I couldn't even get back to the person asking if I'd take Pay Pal.
Just after reading a couple of post this am, I wasn't going to do it.
But, just now reading the volume of the posts, really cemented in my mind of never ever.
Just like the "can you ship to me" I will put, "do you take Pay Pal?" on the same list.
FTF only with cash in hand.

    Like others already said..... cash.

If youre only willing to do FTF, Might as well make them bring cash with them. Itís the safest most reliable way to do it. Only issue I could ever see doing FTF cash only would be counterfeit cash, but Iím sure thatís rare nowadays. I wouldnít risk any kind of electronic payments, especially when the company youíre using (PayPal) has stated they wonít allow gun purchases. If you got scammed they would certainly be no help at all straightening it out.

    Stick with cash.
I find you offensive for finding me offensive.
