My daughter has a BG 380. Having issues with light primer strikes. Sent it back to S&W and they said nothing was wrong with it. Any recommendations

I've never had a BG .380 but I've heard of this issue. Supposedly S&W's fix involves some machining to the firing pin. Maybe you could call them back and ask for a modified firing pin, rather than shipping the whole gun back. Or, if it's less painful, you could buy a firing pin for $7 and have at it with the Dremel. Of course, that's modifying a critical area with not a lot of metal to work with, so I hope you have a steady hand and some snap caps to test with. Good luck!

Has S&W fixed the light strike issues with the 380 Bodyguard?

Had the same issue with mine right out of the box. Brought it home cleaned it took it out back, 6 rounds and not 1 went off. Returned to LGS 2 hours after purchase and they tried 12 rounds, 4 different brands of ammo, 1 round actually fired. Salesperson I talked to said they had to send it back to S&W because it was warranty issue. They handled that part, which I think was a joke just replace it but that's a different thing. S&W fixed it and it's been fine ever since. They didn't note what they repaired on the service ticket however, but I've heard the same thing, they modify the firing pin.

Had a couple of different ones over the years back and never had a problem, but it was always in the back of my mind after seeing Hickok45 have failures with his on camera. Seems to me that Galloway Precision was addressing this at one point...

yep. See the description. Hammer spring spacer to increase striking force for “hard primers” in bulk ammo.

and, increased rate hammer spring to address the situation as well...
