I'm doing an AR project build in 5.56, and I've run into a snag.

I wanted to build an XM177E2, but Brownells does not have the correct barreled upper available, and not available for back order either. So I started to just shop around and see what other uppers I could find, and noticed that most every company was out of stock for their barreled uppers.. BCM was out of stock for their Upper Receiver Groups. Aero was out of stock for their groups. Even PSA was out of their groups.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Did you check Optics Planet. They carry a wide variety of manufacturers. If you do buy there just make sure you double check that it is "IN STOCK"

The Wooden Indian in Defiance OH has a good stock of uppers. Might try them to see if they have what you are looking for.

I'll have to check there. I'm wanting a rifle length rather than a pistol. Also in 5.56. I'm really wanting a retro rifle though. So more preference on an A1 style reciever. I may just end up getting a flat top receiver and purchase an A1 style later on when they come back in.
