Armed Neighborhood Groups Form In The Absence Of Police Protection

As break-ins and fires raged in the first days of mass protests over the killing of yet another black man in an encounter with police, the city seemed to descend into a security vacuum. She says the police disappeared from this neighborhood. That's when she and others started forming patrols to include people with licensed weapons.

I understand the need. It would be no different in my hometown if the police were to be defunded or otherwise destabilized.
If we could get rid of the troublemakers this would be utopia but it's not. It's 2020 and the socialists want this country.

    They can not have it.

When they defund their police department, I guess this is what people will have to do to secure themselves and their property.

don't see anything going wrong here...

Just wait until super rich elitists all have their own version of the "police." Pretty soon the "police force" will start to align itself with the politics of the benefactor.

I smell some disinformation in the story.
The “White Supremists” are doing the looting and burning and the Antifa
anarchists are there pulling security next door?

I'd my neighborhood started to fall to looters with no police presence I would rally up my neighbors to protocol our streets

When and if We the People rise up to defend our property family and ideals, Martial Law will be declared, and your movements, guns, and actions severely restricted.
The 2020 election, and limiting the growing liberal appeasement ruining the country today, will be our biggest challenge.

I hope I live long enough to help win the fight. And I'm older than you are.

My friend we saw this insanity stewing years and years ago. It took longer than I thought it would to come to a full boil. Now I am older and pretty much set in place. If the fight starts I hope I am still mobile enough to actually enjoy it. If that is something that is even possible.

It sounds simple, but it's NOT.

We have to be very very careful to not get baited into moves that the socialists will use with their news media to make us the bad guys.

They are not that far from winning the PR fight. If you've watched any TV at all lately, you can certainly see that.

Even those on "our side" have mostly caved to using the left's narrative in this time of pandemic overbearing and rioting.

I agree and hope for the same for me and my body. As an article I remember from about 20 years ago, the population is so far removed from their food source, they would walk onto my farm and kill me for a 10 bill on the kitchen table when the freezers and pantry and barns are full of food for a long length of time.

Pandemic, rioting, killing, can buy weed at the store yet can't get a haircut. I agree, careful is a good operative word. People have become so wishy washy, I would not trust just anyone as loyalty is not practiced much any more. It is like fixing a wrecked car, it is going to get a lot uglier before it becomes fixed and pleasing to the eye.

Well, I should rephrase my original post, but am feeling my age and have watched all the **** I want to on tv. Was feeling low and then read Mark's post about his friend's son, I guess I am just glad to be on this side of the fence. My grandfather has the same sentiments about the world when I was first married and didn't understand what his experiences were and what his eyes thought they were seeing happening. I am not giving up nor giving in. I will defend my farm regardless if they are white, green, black, red or spotted.

Thanks for sharing. An interesting article.
I agree and support what they were doing in the absence of police protection. Unfortunately I think it would take one justifiable self defense shooting by the residents/business owners and the media and politicians would descend on them as being an "everything wrong" talking point.
Hopefully they all came through it safe and sound.

I suspect people won't have to live with self-appointed, untrained armed groups "protecting" them for long before they start to remember why they used to have a professional, accountable, full-time police force.

Defunding police is like saying we want to turn the US into Cartel Land. Who do they think will take control if the Police move out of our neighborhoods?
