Elmer Fudd will not have a gun in 'Looney Tunes' reboot

In a new series based on the beloved “Looney Tunes” cartoons, the classic character Elmer Fudd will no longer carry a gun. Elmer Fudd is regularly foiled trying to hunt Bugs Bunny on the show. In the new series, the character will carry a scythe.

And the Fudds never really expected it to happen to them, eh.

Great... so rather than portray him as a hunter with a double barrel shotgun, they're turning him into some kind of psycho killer with a scythe?? That ought to give the kids nightmares. Will he be wearing a hockey mask too?

If Elmer Fudd, doesn’t have a Fudd gun... is he no longer a Fudd? Is he wearing a Mad Moms shirt?

Only a double Fudd would go hunting without a gun:ar15:

I always liked the old ones that were geared for adults best anyway.
In the old days, they'd show them in theaters before the feature movies came on.
Some of the WW2 era ones are classics.

Remember "Hare Trigger" from 1945? ;)
"Why did you pour ink on my head?"
"Will he be declared non compos mentis?"

"Baseball Bugs" vs that Gashouse Gorillas 1945 ;)

As the years went on, they began to be more geared for kids.

BESIDES, HOW can they be up to the same quality with Mel Blanc dead?

Next thing, will-e-coyote won't be able to have dynamite and missiles! Giving elmer fudd a scythe is being insensitive to KNIFE violence--they ought to give him a fishing pole if he just HAS to hunt rabbits and ducks

I saw this headline recently. Even if they’d left him armed, the cartoons would have sucked anyway. As mentioned up thread, the best ones were from the last century. Any of the more recent Bugs Bunny and Friends or other iterations are abominations.

Wow just seen a clip of the new Grim Reaper Fudd. That's going to scare children. Yet another insane idea brought to you by the leftist thought police.

Will never watch the new ones, will never watch them with my grandkids either. They all got a cricket 22 upon their birth. Guns and work ethics are learned on this farm. Also learned is work can be fun and work has its own rewards. This "new" is getting rather old very fast!

Yeah gun violence is bad, so let's show everyone that explosives are so much better.

That's just dumb and frankly doesn't even look good from the animation itself.
