    retailers seem to be runing out/low on ammo except rimfire .22/.22mag.
    however;
    them that have reloading stuff are better.

    since about three percent of shooters are reloaders (guess by NSSF)
    seems reason that I am finding reloading components for all my calibers.

    Is it time to take up reloading?

    Well, yes.
    I have been reloading for several years, now, and I have several thousand rounds stored away.
    I haven't purchased any "factory" ammo in over 2 years, so I can't talk about current prices or stock.
    But, reloading is fun, somewhat economical, and I will always, as long as I have the supplies, to be able to have/make ammo as I need it.

    I recently predicted it would be a bad time to start learning "how to reload"...
    since local shops just don't carry equipment & have knowledge to "teach"

    but store shelves being "bare" have made me think you have to reload or not shoot centerfire guns from now.......on

    .
    I've never understood how people can do much shooting without reloading. Old calibers force me to reload much of what I shoot, but the cost difference in cartridges like 45 Colt or 44 mag are big, particularly if you can cast the bullet.

    I just stocked up on 12lb of powder, 4000 primers, close to 4000 bullets in the last 7 days. Adding to my supply. I've been working on this since July of last year.
    Every election has a rush on ammunition and firearms. Never fails. So I got a little jump on the chaos this time around.

    I don't load any unless I need it. The idea is it keeps things fresh until I do load it.
