So I am looking for a backpack style bag that would fit an SBR and other gear. I am not really looking for anything that is going to scream there is a gun in here. I tried the Savior Specialist but its pretty square and I feel like most people would know what's going on in there. Best I can find is there are some backpacks that are made for tools and I feel like that might work, Swiss makes one. Oakley also has a few

I recently got a couple Vertx bags and they seem very well made. Depending on what you have it will likely fit in one of their offerings. Watch some youtube vids and make note of any discount codes. It is very common to find 25% or more codes on several videos.

That looks awesome. Just what I am looking for... Funny I have been looking though Google for days and did not come across this brand. Thank you. Any others that people think of though, please put them up as I am just getting into this brand

I carry my AR pistol in a Wilson Tennis racket bag. Fits perfectly and is very discreet.

I considered a violin case... but decided I was less likely to be asked to demonstrate tennis techniques than I would be asked to play a tune for some poor unsuspecting fool. :dunno::):

Got a sling-pack from Wally's for $35 and, after taking the 10.5" apart (both pin removal) and rolling it in a towel, it fits.
Pack's pockets hold 5 x 20-round magazines...makes for a nice pack that is only 18" long, top to bottom...very indiscrete!

Yeah, This^^^. I carry an MP5 clone with folding brace in a Vertx Gamut 2 backpack and can't say enough about the fit and finish of Vertx gear.

Good to know.. That is the bag I am working on getting right now. I what a SBR 5.56 but thinking the Scorpion Mico Suppressed in there might be the way to go. It would be
interesting to see if they would both fit, not at the same time or anything.

I second the nod to Vertx Brand. Almost all of them are set up to hold a Premier Body Armor Kevlar Plate which are pretty light and TSA compliant. You can get many colors too so it can be more subtle if you prefer...

I have a Maxpedition backpack. It’s a very nice bag and does a great job but it screams tactical. After reading some of these post I got to thinking about a good quality diaper bag. It would be normal for someone to see one in a vehicle and I would hope most thieves wouldn’t want a diaper bag. In Fact I’m betting Churchmouse has one in his rig with my little pony on it. :):

Your Wilson tennis racket bag is it a single, double or triple racket bag? I'd like to try this out if you don't mind me asking which one did you get?

Good luck with this project. I've tried it a few times with 16" AR's in two halves and even with the 16" barrel you're pushing 25" in length and most backpacks aren't built that long. If you go to a 10.5 barrel length you still have to find something built fairly longer than normal.

I carry a Vertx Gamut 2.0. It's an amazing bag. High quality, and doesnt scream tactical. I carry a DDM4 PDW in mine and it carries it perfectly. There is still plenty of room for medical stuff, and my other Edc items.

I carry a pistol grip 870 with a side saddle in a single (non-padded even) tennis racket bag in my car where it is legal to do so. I have a second single bag with an actual racket in it as well. It has not been noticed...
