Northeast Indiana Shop + Range for Sale

I am not affiliated with the range or broker, just saw this business listed for sale and thought others in this community may appreciate!

    https://indianabusinessadvisors.com/...hooting-range/

This profitable and well established Buy Sell Trade Gun Shop and Shooting Range being offered for sale is an established profitable Class 3 Firearms Retail location and climate controlled Indoor Shooting Range that also provides gunsmith services onsite for repairs and customization. They offer well-known, national and imported brands, as well as some more obscure brands and models. They also offer Training Classes and Gun Safety classes onsite.

They buy, sell and trade a full line of firearms, ammunition & accessories retail – onsite and online. As a Class 3 Firearms Dealer, they can sell any and all NFA items such as suppressors, short barreled rifles and shotguns, and fully automatic. They have a climate controlled indoor shooting range with state-of-the-art computer positioning system and no caliber restriction. It is new with 5 firing lanes and is reinforced with concrete, steel and soundproofing. The current range was built to be easily expandable to 10+ lanes. They offer on-site gunsmithing for repairs, service and customization. They sell archery equipment and are building an outdoor range. They also have training classes and gun safety classes, etc. Classes are women and family friendly, and they do very little to advertise this service. In addition, they offer quarterly auction sales. As a large gun shop with strong vendor relationships, they are able to offer retail packaging options, but have not yet taken advantage of this. It is an area for growth.

This gun shop is well established in its current location off of a major interstate exit in northeastern Indiana. It sits on 7.3 acres and is ideal for the local marketplace, and as a destination location for customers throughout the Midwest. The current owners moved to this location 4 years ago and built on to the existing building to include an expansive 2 story facility with new LED sign and a drive-in for deliveries. A new owner operator has plenty of room to expand the operation to include more firing lanes in the shooting range, archery ranges, as well as additional synergistic business. The business has been profitable. This is an ideal acquisition for an owner operator or an existing firearms dealer who wishes to expand. A new owner operator will have to have or be able to acquire a Federal Firearms License, a Class 3 Dealer License, and a Gun Manufacturer’s License for gunsmithing.

The best way to earn a little money in the firearms business is to start with a lot of money.

Just a wild a** guess so don't spread any rumors but...

$2.8 million in revenue. That's quite an operation.

That's just revenue, maybe if that was profit.

You're right. I just meant that's a lot of activity, a busy environment. They do say something about $700k in cash flow, but I'm not sure if that translates to profit. In any case, not a small mom & pop shop.

Hillside does have a restriction on caliber for the indoor range. I couldn't bring my Deagle 50 or the Smith 500. I thought they were on more than 7.3 acres. Hate to see a shop go. If so hopefully it gets purchased and reopened.
