I guess I missed the part where she said she supported them or was a member. She said she respected their party and mentioned that her party (Republican) had similar goals, none of which were secession.

Even if she did support secession, I couldn't fault her. Our federal government is screwed up. I also believe the states have a right to secede from the union, as do many Constitutional scholars. There's nothing illegal or immoral about it.

I'm for Alaskan secession, and I don't even live there. But I'd emigrate in a heartbeat if they did.

I guess the same way someone can vote for a socialist idiot like obama hussein. I know you wanted some attention finity so I'm giving it to you. :noway:

So when I post something negative about the "saviour of all the world" Palin, I'm just looking for attention?!! What about every other person on here who posts something negative about Obama? I guess they just want some attention too.

Sorry I guess I should just know my place & shut up. Strange I thought this part of the forum was an open area for discussions about "Politics, Laws & 2nd Amendment". Unless I was wrong about the "open" part.

I find it hard sometimes not to reply to personal attacks with some of my own, but I don't really think it would do any good - except make me feel better.

Why don't you try to engage in a discussion of the topic at hand if you think you can rub a couple of words together that aren't name calling.

Finally there is no dispute that Palins husband was a member of AIP until
at least 2000 & is still "undeclared" as in not a member of the Republican party.

Sounds like at the least the Gov's husband isn't a "proud American". This is in the last decade not a vague relationship to some guy who was a radical in the sixties (when Obama was 8 years old, BTW)

So the Republicans denied everything, huh? Wow, what a surprise! Oh and the source for this newsflash is "Newsbusters.org" who's mission is to "expose & combat liberal media bias". I'm sure they're "fair & balanced" just like that other one.

If Palin wasn't such an id...uninformed on the issues & was able to answer a direct question intelligently she might be an OK candidate. If McCain kicks it two weeks after the election we're stuck with somebody as President who's biggest claim to having international policy experience is that she's the governor of the state thats right beside Russia & Canada. And she was very serious when she said it. OMG! WTF?

We all would be glad to have W back at that point. At least it would be a step back up again.

Four kids at home & one with Downs Syndrome. So who's taking care of the Downs baby or the 17 yo pregnant daughter while she's out playing "leader-of-the-free-world". I say playing because she's definitely in over her head. Family values my, butt. Must be nice to be able to pawn them off on somebody else to take care of. I thought family was all about sacrifice, especially when you have one as needy as a handicapped child. I have several kids myself & know how difficult it is, but I don't have the weight of the worlds troubles on my shoulders.

    So lets recap her qualifications:

1 - international diplomacy ( sorry couldn't keep a straight face. I really tried.)
2 - won't take "pork" for an answer - unless its used for a "road to nowhere"
3 - was mayor of a small town in which she had virtually no responsibilites.
4 - Governor of a state for a short time whose administration has had it's share of political scandals.
5 - Her husband was until very recently a member of a party whose founder stated "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions."

I'm sure there are lots more.

    Edit:

I almost forgot the most important one - She's hot! That's really important to be our President. Folks, the 'S' in USA doesn't stand for 'Shallow' last I checked.

    Alaska, Palin, & secession

I'd like to see Alaska. They say parts of it have weather very similar to Indiana's. That may or may not be a good thing! :D I don't think I'd want to live there but there are plenty of other states where I wouldn't live, either, and some of them have very nice weather. As for Palin and secession, I heard nothing in her speech hinting that she supports secession.

FWIW.. last I checked, husbands and wives do occasionally think independently of each other, and, shockingly, sometimes disagree on politics. The Civil War split whole families -- brothers fought against brothers, fathers against sons.

I am also "undeclared" -- as in not a member of ANY party, not just the Republican one.

If you are saying I personally attacked you, you are wrong. I called Obama a "socialist idiot' not you. That is my right to say that the same as it's your right to say what ever you want about any topic. Our rights go both way ,sir. If you feel the need to defend the messiah go ahead, as it's my right to defend who I want. Thank-you and have a nice day.

Heaven forbid voting for Palin when Joe Biden has such stellar qualifications ;) Who else (Ted Kennedy doesn't count) has spent his whole lifetime sucking (or Barney Frank, just sucking) at the taxpayer trough being drunk on his ass most of the time. Yes, he is a great candidate for the Obama Socialist Party.

    Cool!

River Dance! I've heard of it but never saw it before! We need a guy with that kind of talent in the White House. Love to see him do the Hokey Pokey just in case that's what it's all about!

BTW, Is that river in Alaska?
