Teacher bans pencils from classroom; cited as potential weapons

A Massachusetts teacher sent a note home with students that said pencils would be not allowed in her class because they could be used as a weapon. Fortunately the superintendent said that she had not received approval to write the note. But it is illustrative of the anti-weapon mentality that plagues America.

This makes me so mad, I just want to stab someone with a pencil.

The pen(cil) is mightier than the sword?

A tactical retreat is not a bad response to a surprise assault, you know. First you survive. Then you choose your own ground. Then you counterattack.

    Now, let's not be hasty.

I was stabbed in the leg with a pencil in grade school.
I still have the piece of the graphite in my leg under the skin.

Not a day goes by that I don't have a limp because of it, it's worse when it rains.

I was stabbed in the top of my shoulder in grade school with a pencil, the kid jammed it about an inch in. The school nurse pulled it out and called my mom. To this day I have a small scar with a hint of gray to it.
