Sarkozy, Merkel, Blair call for new capitalism - Yahoo! News

This one is just begging for it. /rant on

Merkel said the International Monetary Fund has not managed to regulate global capitalism, and she called for the creation of an economy body at the United Nations, similar to the Security Council, to judge government policy.

OMG. Here we go. It's on. Wanna know who the enemy is? Need any more proof?:dunno:

Or is it still necessary to bean you over the head with a damn bacon skillet?

    from the AHAHHAHAHHAHAHA :poop: dept.

A Congressional Budget Office report estimates that the U.S. federal budget deficit will hit an unparalleled $1.2 trillion for the 2009 budget year — and that is before President-elect Barack Obama's sweeping stimulus package is calculated. European governments have agreed to be flexible about budget rules that limit deficits to 3 percent of gross domestic product as recession bites.

What magic hat did the CBO pull that out of? 1.2 trillion doesn't even begin to cover the government shenanigans of late. If the original package was 750 billion (remember boys and girls, with smoke and mirrors that magically became 1.7 trillion before the check was even cut) and the next was 800 billion (there have been two already, not counting the individual bailouts, the auto bailout, the bailing bucket bailout and the Capt. Sinbad bailout. Did I miss any?)

And all this time I thought the magic kingdom was in Florida.:D

    vote? Are you kidding me?

Waste another minute writing to ANDRE CARSON?:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

    DICK LUGER? EVAN BYAH?

Need any further proof of taxation without representation?:dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno:

Hold my nose and vote for Mclame? What difference would that have made?

French President Nicolas Sarkozy, leading the two-day conference with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, blamed financial speculators for encouraging a system fueled on debt. He called financial capitalism based on speculation "an immoral system" that has "perverted the logic of capitalism."
"It's a system where wealth goes to the wealthy, where work is devalued, where production is devalued, where entrepreneurial spirit is devalued," he said.
But no more: "In capitalism of the 21st century, there is room for the state," he said.

AHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. Welcome to doublespeak. However, those that are paying attention in class today will note:

But no more: "In capitalism of the 21st century, there is room for the state," he said.

    Translated means
    We want a bigger cut

Ron Paul was dead nuts right on when he called out the conga line during the debates on the pixel money and the coming collapse.

Remember that? Just a crazy old man huh? How many of you now have watched all that go poof like a fart in the wind?

The problem is that America has turned it's back on tangibles in the pursuit of easy money. Everybody wants to ride the gravy train. However, it is their train and you have to hold your nose to get on.

    It gets better

Punish savers and make them spend money

Near-zero interest rates and even a tax on bank deposits are necessary to force those with cash to use it productively

Punish savers and make them spend money | Anatole Kaletsky - Times Online

I come upon a few UK and eurofag type articles courtesy of friends overseas. Sometimes they are quite revealing, with content we just don't seam to be exposed to.

This particular article by Anatole Kaletsky(ironic once you begin to read the text)

I believe, in line with the vast majority of non-socialist economists,

Why the "non socialist economist" qualifier?

On the other side, the Tory Opposition, the German Socialists, the European Central Bank, the Church of England and the vast majority of Marxist economists in every country - plus the British public.

Painting with a large brush with broad strokes 101

But what I think is of little importance, especially as I have been wrong about so many aspects of this crisis - as have most conventional economists and policymakers, whose views I broadly share.

Now we get to the meat of it. What is this thing of little importance that despite you BEING SO WRONG ON EVERY ASPECT OF THIS CRISIS that is so important that you can't quite seem to finish the sentence about?

IF THE DAMN POLICY MAKERS ARE WRONG WHY DO YOU SHARE THIS VIEW?

the US and British governments, despite their reputations for reckless borrowing and fiscal imprudence, have managed their finances better than most other countries and entered this crisis with substantially lower public debt levels than Germany, France, Italy or Japan.

    AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Read the whole deal if you can stomach it.:patriot:
