Will US dip American flag at Olympic ceremony? | Fox News

In the interest of disclosure, the red white and blue has not flown over at my property for some time having been displaced by another American flag, the Gadsden.

With that said, the idea that an American Flag would be "dipped" on an international stage (on the soil of a nation against which we fought and shed blood to gain sovereignty nonetheless) is a bit bothersome.

Perhaps folks should read the flag codes for themselves? I'm on my phone or I'd post a link.

You would be surprised at was is and isnt in there.

    The flag has never dipped...

If that girl dips the flag, she will have a seat next to Hanoi Jane on my "most despised 'Americans'" table.

The opening ceremony where the athletes enter the stadium is over. It does not appear our flag was dipped. Earlier a US Olympic Committee spokesperson said they recommeded to the athlete carrying the US flag that she should not dip it.

What would we do without uS Olympic Committee spokespersons?

Oh no! How dare us ugly Americans disrespect the Queen and upset the Brits! Dam that nonsense, we stopped bowing for the British Monarchy in 1776 and I see no reason to reverse course now.
