I would not expect any help for them from the world community. The libs will play up the "they deserve it due to apartheid" decades ago.

South Africa is why we can't have nice things.
Makes you sick to think how people will attempt to 'justify' wholesale torture, rape, and slaughter.
Nazis are given no quarter by civilized society - why should the African National Congress be exempt from criticism of direct, targeted attacks?

This is so similar to the Weimar Republic of 1932 and Rwanda of 1994 that I very seriously believe it will reach those proportions.
The nation of South Africa has been a powderkeg for decades now, and two wrongs don't make a right,
no matter how much the disgusting Statist-liberalesque media tries to spin it that way.

Genocide Watch chief Dr. Gregory Stanton explained, powerful communist forces also hope to abolish private-property ownership and crush all potential resistance.

    Well communists will be communists.

Now, why was it the 2A was put in there again?

Wasn't justice Ginsberg just saying she would model a new constitution after that of South Africas?

I was surprised that the Genocide Watch organization was concerned about the whites being systematically disarmed. I am glad they were aware of why and the dangers inherent in that.

It's Africa, and I should care why? Whe have our own issues. They built their own house, they can tend it too.

    Probably so.
    But racism is racism
    evil is evil
No matter who's doing what to whom.

While we all sit here in relative stability, the world is a friggin mess, financially, ethically and morally.

We do too much for too many in too many places as it is while ignoring too much inside our own borders. Are they going to come to our aid when we will (eventually) need it?

From the article, it sounds a lot like you didn't build that.

"Every place you go where communists have taken over, they take away private ownership because private ownership gives people the power — the economic power — to oppose their government. Once you have taken that away, there is no basis on which you can have the economic power to oppose the government."

    Early phases of genocide?

What time did they get up in the morning? Black on white violence has been the order of the day since apartheid ended and Mandela won the election.

    Take it one step further...
Is encouraged by Mandela, and often supported by the Government...

Yes, apartheid was evil and never should have happened. This isn't any better. Perhaps the mercenary trade will once again take off in Africa.

    Encouraged, how?
    Since 1994...
    Mandela became President...
Rape has become so common there it is almost the Norm. They have one of the highest incidences of Child and Baby Rape in the World...
Few Countries top RSA for their Murder Rates, they have been in the Top 10 Counties for this since 1994...

Prior to 1994, these things virtually were nonexistent. A little to much of a coincidence...

For more than that, I need a bit of time...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the same thing was taking place for the 46 years apartheid was in place. It was just not reported because there was no great concern. So, rape and murder did exist, but also false imprisonment, lynchings, mob attacks, and lighting people on fire! Now that someone chooses to document the crimes that have taken place over the last 18 years it's now a concern? Hmmmm . . . Yea, I agree, a little too much of a coincidence. Also, you still have not noted where, when or how Mandela encouraged these acts.

Would singing a song of murdering whites with the ANC's military wing be considered encouragement?

The ANC has backed the murder of the white farmers since 1994. It has steadfastly refused to acknowledge the problem or bring the perpetrators to justice.

And why would they? It makes their land reform efforts that much easier since you don't have to pay dead people for their land.

Take race out of it for a second - I'm sure there are blacks in South Africa who are just as upset about this kind of crime as these farmers are, just as I'm sure there are whites who still support apartheid, and blacks who want to completely kick white farmers out of their country. In my opinion, the single most important lesson to take from the video I've linked is simply that you cannot count on the police for PROTECTION, whether you're in South Africa, the south side of Chicago, or in scenic Friendlytown, USA. There will always be bad people out there, there are some places police just don't want to go - at least alone, and some things they just can't do, like typically be there when an attack happens.

It's a horrible situation, and I'm certainly not pretending to be qualified to speak on it from what little I have seen after perusing this thread. Outside of the fact that from a historic and current standpoint, neither side can really take the high ground (which doesn't excuse the behavior), I'm certain it won't become a major media issue - it's not politically correct to call out the ANC, and it certainly doesn't affect the typical American (I mean come on - KRISTEN STEWART AND ROBERT PATTINSON BROKE UP FOR F---'S SAKE!).

At the end of day it boils down to this - the only person you can REALLY count on to protect yourself is YOU. The police can bring the knife used in the attack by a few days later, but there isn't a damn thing they can do to prevent it from being used in the first place (unless they're over for coffee or escorting you home or something).

By the way, didn't attach this video to stir up an argument on race, I thought the section where the farmers got together and took training at the end was important. As much as I want to take some training, there are other financial obligations I have to meet first, but after watching this, you'd better believe when I can I will.

Where were they visiting when he sang that song? Was the complete report given in context of the visit? I see flags every day that whisper death to me, but I'm told it's only a celebration of culture. Couldn't that song be the same thing for those people? At least they can say they lived during the struggle which birthed the song.

Do I agree with the words of the song? No, but if everything else that takes place on that continent can be ignored, why is this such a great concern?

I am aware of the tensions in SA, but I don't believe Mandela personally encourages any of it today. His supporters, however, are responsible from what I understand. I think Mandela lost control of them long ago.

I'm uncertain why people can't judge each other as individuals, but it seems in human nature to blame entire races or cultures or tribes for the actions of bad seeds. But when the government engages in murder and racism, that government needs destroyed. If I lived in SA, I would be arming up for civil war against the government, not simply against people of a different color.

It is a sad fact that nearly all African countries behave like warring tribesmen still, despite living in the modern age. South Africa is the most industrialized and wealthy nation in Africa if I recall correctly, yet they appear to be on the path of ruination.
