    I don't buy the excuses offered by the IRS. If it were so, then people would have been terminated from employment for the misconduct.

    This was rather an arbitrary action in a clandestine attempt to disrupt, or otherwise cause political donations to be diverted from its intended purposes.

    But why make the admission... they are the IRS after all. The same people that say they have the right to do anything they want like read your emails without a warrant. Were there scheduled Congressional hearings or something coming up.

    The IRS statement said that once applications were chosen for review, they all "received the same, even-handed treatment."

    Yes, and the Jim Crow-era cop said that once individuals were established as being black, all were beaten with equal intensity.

    Funny how it is that even when the group of choice to be in the receiving end of discrimination changes, the substance largely stays the same.
