    Modern policing has become such an echo chamber. They only see short term benefits. What was actually accomplished by this stunt? 4 pullovers and heat in the national media accompanied by a civil rights violation and an impending lawsuit. There are no long term benefits to lying to the public. But, hey, whatever it takes to keep the grant money flowing. The same people law enforcement lie to are the same people they ask for trust in solving a case.

    Taking advantage of those who aren't legal scholars is simple thuggery.

    The fourth amendment and the second amendment are on life support because of drug warriors. Something to think about if you are involved.

    Old news, I used to see them do that in Florida in the late 80's. They caught a bunch of people at first, then everyone but the complete idiots caught on.
