Funny that joking about assassination of a president used to be met with a knock on the door at best, door and windows broken in followed by flash-bang more likely. What does it take to get the FBI and DOJ to do their jobs these days?

They are all in this together or so it seems.

    This was just wrong period.

I did think that when Trump failed to denounce the actions of WS and NEO at Charlottesville that we were headed for big trouble however. I think it's going to get much worse before it gets better. I still feel his comments have gone far to embolden WS and NEO Nazis and their actions.

Yes, Trump 'emboldened' them by giving them a fair shake for a change, i.e., condemning all thugs involved in the thuggery rather than declaring one side evil incarnate while insisting that the other side are saints. I fail to see a damned thing wrong with that. If it riots, condemn it and put its ass in jail regardless of what color it is or what it ideology is.

WS and NEO Nazis deserve a fair shake? What if any fair shake did they give any of the millions they persecuted or killed?

But since Trump said in his third statement that there were some good guys amongst the WS and NEO Nazis I guess they are getting their fair shake now.

Yes, they are entitled to equal treatment under the law. As distasteful as they may be, never forget that if they can be denied equality before the law, then so can you. If the Nazis, et alia, are treated as public enemies while Antifa/BAMN/BLM are lauded as crusaders for the righteous cause, bear in mind that, by extension, means YOU can get your skull cracked with the blessing of the assorted talking heads and powers that be.

As for persecution and killing, while their ideology is terrible, it is intellectually dishonest to hold them accountable for deeds done by people long dead. It appears to be a safe bet that people named Clinton are responsible for more killing than the groups on the right side of the Charlottesville demonstration.

What's wrong with you? Everyone knows that only neo-Nazis, KKK, and other assorted white supremacists members are evil and that very single person protesting the removal of the statue was a card-carrying member of one of those groups. Clearly it's impossible that there was even a single individual on site who was there to just peacefully protest removing a historical artifact . . . that UN-possible. Everyone also knows that antifa and other Marxist groups are righteous angels who would never do anything wrong and couldn't possibly have been involved in any violence. They're all saints!

It's a good thing that the First Amendment protects only speech that socialist-statists want to hear. It would be just awful if somehow the First Amendment was intended to protect unpopular speech.

She should resign immediately, or kicked out of the body. There's absolutely no room for people like that idiot in govt.

Whoa Nelly.... It is not intellectually dishonest to hold them accountable for the deeds done by people long dead. I'm not saying prosecute them as if they actually killed people... but their ideology, and endgame is EXACTLY the same. If you think that those in todays KKK or Nazi parties wouldn't relegate who they consider lesser races to second class citizenship at best, and gas chambers at worst, you're fooling yourself. They hold mass murders and terrorists as heroes, and would love to be a part of those old regimes.

Have you met Sheila Jackson Lee ? There's another person that needs to go... And in the interest of fairness, I would agree that idiocy is not limited to one side of the aisle...

Hardly shocking. The media rewards such hyperbole with positive attention and what politician can resist that.

Sally Kohn's words about Democrats being disappointed, but not angry, in the event of a Trump election seem further and further off the mark with each passing day.
