The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented. (Applause.) From the Soviet Union to Cuba to Venezuela, wherever true socialism or communism has been adopted, it has delivered anguish and devastation and failure. Those who preach the tenets of these discredited ideologies only contribute to the continued suffering of the people who live under these cruel systems.
It was certainly a different type of speech those in the UN membership are used to.
So what'd you think Kut????
IT"S NOT THE SUBSTANCE THAT BOTHERED ME. I however think the delivery was something that less than desired.
I think he more or less handed over the mantle of world leadership traditionally held by the United States. I didn't like the calling of Kim "Rocketman," I didn't like how he stated that he would "totally destroy" another nation, and I didn't like the obvious logical disconnect in opposing the Iran deal. It's not the substance that bothered me. For those that need me to say it again... IT"S NOT THE SUBSTANCE THAT BOTHERED ME. I however think the delivery was something that less than desired.
It's not like he said that about Sweden over some trade agreements. That would have been bad.
He said that in response to North Korea threatening to strike the US with a nuclear weapon.
IMO Trump needs to be firm and tell Kim that firing a live nuclear weapon at another nation (especially the US) would be his last move.

Oh man. No Christmas Holiday Card from Bernie this year.
North Korea has been saying that for years looking for someone to engage them. In Trump they found their man. Does anyone honestly think N. Korea is going to fire a nuclear weapon at anyone unprovoked? My personal opinion is that periodically we should warn N. Korea, and other than that ignore them. North Korea isn't giving up nuclear weapons, that's just something the world has to come to terms with. If they decide to employ them, then eliminate them.
I didn't like the language, as it implies the destruction of the entire nation... people and all. Sound very "wipe off the map" Iran-ish. The North Korean people aren't our enemies, the Kim regime is. I think the language in Trump's speech could have been significantly better if that point was driven home.
I call BS. What need does anyone have for gasoline in NK?
