Well, I doubt Trump could have been elected Senator from NY; but that didn't stop him from becoming President

Oprah won't run. She has an actual "brand" that she's not willing to risk. Trump's "brand," actually is putting label and signs to on things. Oprah's things are uniquely focused on her. Unlike a building or golf course, if she creates a backlash, all that stuff could potentially disappear.

Didn't we start somewhere in 2014 on the 2016 cycle? I'm thinking the first candidate started his "exploratory committee" in the winter of 2016.
