Do the haters usually show for his events like, say Ben Shapio's? The Q&A with them is usually the most entertaining part.

Yes at Louisville but not inside...We stayed for the meet and greet...Louisville Palace has a ZERO heckling policy...Right at the beginning of the talk the MC said hecklers will be removed immediately......Mostly middle finger signs, a couple of cross dressers, and a "smash the patriarchy" signs.....

There are some legitimate criticisms, as there are with any person. A “marshmellow”; and “not a serious thinker” is just an ad hominem. That’s not ancriticism, it’s just a “marshmallow”, non-serious attack. If you can’t articulate the specific criticisms, maybe the reason you don’t like him isn’t what you think. Maybe you just don’t want to clean your room.

I didn't see any protesters at the Chicago Theater on May 5th. A few people walking by grumbled about racists, bigots and homophobes, but that's it. I never knew my wife was one of those! Reportedly, it was a sold-out crowd of about 3000.

We definitely got our money's worth since the VIP portion ended around midnight. Dave Rubin (who we later subscribed to on Youtube) kicked off the event around 1930. I brought my book but they said he wasn't going to be signing anything, so that was a bit disappointing.

I'm not so much into the self-help stuff...it's his discussions about socialism, mythology/religion, archetypes, etc that I enjoy. I was mid-sentence when they snapped the photo too...

It's where he gets into the archetype/metaphysical stuff where most of the criticisms come into play, at least from the pro-enlightenment crowd, seemingly his own group. I like the way Sam Harris put it, that Jordan gets a lot of things right, that his research on the stuff he gets right is really solid, but the criticism is that he says the mythology/religion/archetype stuff with equal confidence. Research on personality, and biological impact on personality, for example is good and quite objective. The other stuff isn't so objective and probably shouldn't be stated with the same confidence.

Harris and Peterson scheduled a debate, didn't they? That would be fun to watch! I can't remember if it was going to be on The Rubin report though.

June 23/24, so it's already happened. I think it's a Sam Harris event so that should be showing up in his podcast shortly.

Well, Peterson's spewings are fluff and dang hard to analyze or pin down. He says a lot of ethereal nonsense. I don't think there's much there there.

I also don't at all see what folks think is so great about the man's teachings.

Different strokes, I suppose. His two-stepping about Christianity really bothers me. I would respect him much more if he would just admit he's not a Christian.
