NRA rated three Republican candidates A. Here they are in alphabetical order.
    • Mike Braun
    • Luke Messer
    • Todd Rokita

The only one I have met is Todd. I seem to remember his name in conjunction with pro gun legislation in the past.

Vote and let us know your reasons.

    Could be anywhere
Probably Rokita based on his explanation of the 2nd...and his vote against the 1.3T spending bill. Also...bacon!

    Safeguard the Second Amendment
The Constitution of the United States of America and its original ten
amendments is one of the most unique and exceptional documents ever
known to man. The cornerstone of this document is the 2nd Amendment. The
Founding Fathers understood that Americans should be able to defend
themselves, their families, and their homes from others and ultimately
from their government. The 2nd Amendment gives Americans the right to
bear arms, and this is a right we should fight to protect. When
governments take away their citizens’ right to bear arms, it takes away
their ability to protect against those who would harm them. We have a
God-given right to our lives. Gun control does not make Americans
safer, it makes them defenseless. Increased regulations will not stop
criminals, but it will hinder law-abiding citizens from protecting
themselves. As an NRA member, gun owner and hunter, I will fight to
protect the Second Amendment and continue working to stop liberal gun
    grabs in the Senate.

This. Until/if I can find some other reason to change my mind.

Luke Messer. I've followed him for several years. He is a politician like the others but I haven't seen him run any negative ads(unless I've missed something). I believe he shares many of my conservative philosophies and is of good moral character. Plus I feel like he can beat Donnelly.

Luke Messer. He has served SE Indiana well. I don't know much about Rokita other than I am tired of his negative ads. Rokita might get more support from me if he told me in his ads what he wants to do rather than just attack the other 2 Republican candidates (that's a Dem tactic). Also, Luke Messer has been very pro-gun, very pro 2A and very conservative. He has visited our areas during the flooding and seemed to genuinely care.

Luke Messer for me. He's my Rep so he's the only one I know a little about.

May I dare say, any of those three besides Donnelly?

    Holding my vote for now...

Is Rokita stronger than Messer on the 2A? The other thread mentioned Messer has been a little wishy washy in light of the children anti gun crowd/protests?

We cannot afford ANY wavering on the 2A at all.

Have you heard of/from the young guy Lamb, running for Messer's seat?

He spoke at the rally at the state house today and got my attention.

Rokita was the only Senate candidate to attend the rally. He certainly said the right things.

Yes, I got a flyer in the mail from Lamb today but haven't researched him or Rokita yet. The fact they were both at the rally is a huge plus.

Lamb was fired up. He's only 36, but said he's spent nearly $1 mil of his own money on the campaign.

Another speaker was a 21 year old student from ISU that's running for a state rep seat in Vigo county. It's good to see some young blood getting involved.

That Lamb dude was a very good speaker. So was the young guy running for a State Rep position.
