It goes so much deeper than that. WHY did he lie under oath? What does it gain him to risk prison to protect something? What is out there we don’t know yet?

I imagine that at first he thought he was currying favor with his future boss; and he liked being DD of the FBI very much, thank you. Then like so many people caught in similar traps, he did (legally) worse things in order to not have to publicly admit the bad things he had already done

The takeaway from Watergate was (supposed to be) it's not the crime that gets you, it's the coverup

Maybe we can find out what the insurance policy was, that was discussed in his office to prevent a Trump Presidency.

BREAKING: The U.S Attorney in DC Just Gave Andrew McCabe Some Bad News

United States Attorney for the District of Columbia Jessie K. Liu has recommended moving forward with charges for fired Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe after he lied under oath multiple times to federal investigators.

    More: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/us...ainst-mccabe-as-doj-rejects-last-ditch-appeal
McCabe -- the former deputy and acting director of the FBI -- appealed the decision of the U.S. attorney for Washington all the way up to Jeffrey Rosen, the deputy attorney general, but he rejected that request, according to a person familiar with the situation.
