Vista Outdoor, U.S. firm dropped by MEC after school shooting, to exit gun manufacturing | CBC News

Hope I’ve attached the link properly AND this isn’t a dupe. MEC is a multifaceted Canadian company that is primarily known for manufacturing shotshell cartridge reloaders, at least to me it is. Apparently MEC also carries other company lines. The CEO of MEC has just announced they will cease to affiliate with manufacturers of firearms, specifically AR15 rifles. They are doing this because they feel a “genuine” need for sensible gun control is now necessary.

I own 4 MEC reloaders - and I’m now ashamed to admit that.

Talk about "cutting off your nose to spite your face".
They better hope they have solid business interests in other facets of industry.

Shot shell re-loaders is all I've ever known them for.

Uh...are you sure this "Canadian retailer MEC" is the same company as Mayville Engineering Company of Mayville, WI (USA), or "MEC," manufacturer of shotshell reloaders?
