Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett to announce re-election bid

...Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett plans to seek re-election to a second term in 2019.

The Democrat, who was elected as the city's 49th mayor in 2015, told IBJ that he decided to seek another term in an effort to “continue moving the city in the direction we’ve already begun.”

No Indianapolis mayor since John Barton (1964-68) has served fewer than two terms.

I'd pay good money to see people throw stinky shoes at him during a campaign speech.

Funny story. Our family refers to him as "Ole Mayor Stinky Shoes". Wife isnt particularly political, but she knows of him and doesnt like him. We were listening to the news and they teased his announcement for a press conference. She quickly quipped "maybe he's announcing a new pair of shoes?"

    This guy is a hack.
He sucked as Prosecutor. So he ran for mayor. And he won. And he sucks at that job. He completely dropped the ball last winter.

It was also really classy of Pothole Joe to make his grand announcement on the national day of mourning for President Bush.

Arguably one of the poorest excuses for "leadership" and biggest pieces of **** the city has had for an executive. No doubt he will be a shoo-in for re-election.

The roads got too bad before they were addressed. Hell they have 5 ways to pay for them. Lottery, wheel sur tax, gas tax, etc., and now want tolls. Crime is up. We went backwards. He could be the best of 2 idiots, we'll see.
