If Trump wanted to build the wall he could've done it on day one.

By using defense discretionary spending.

DOD would oversee civilian defense contractors to build it.

Trump wants to use this as a political tool to beat up on Dems for 2020.

Dems want to do the same and also use it fundraise.

One could argue that the border is adequately secure and it will take an incredible amount of money to get an incremental gain in security.

As of 1900 hours 12/20/2018 145,030 folks have ponied up $8,815,986.00. Besides the ever accelerating pace, it is a spit in the eye of establishment Washington DC and especially the left. I see NO negative except from the established keyboard warriors on this site !

I disagree with the idea that even if this is successful it’s a “spit in the eye” of the establishment. Paying with your own money to fund this cause, which could SO EASILY be funded with money we’ve already earned through taxes, is... not winning. But good luck with the rest of the $4.7 Billion

Why give an internet company a percentage?

There would have to be laws passed to spend the money regardless.

Overall, it’s a do-nothing, feel good endeavor...just like most leftist causes, so I guess at least it’s bringing left and right together in a way.
