I'm not sure if you're saying I'm spinning it that way or that the media has spun it that way. I used "your kind" as a short hand for how it's being represented, just to ask Trumpers, if it is about "kind", is it an issue of immutable characteristics or ideology? I think it's not about race, but the "kind" is ideology. If you want real ass socialism, go live somewhere that has a socialist society.

You're responding how I would have thought, that it's not actually motivated by race, it's more about if you don't like it, then leave.

However, events like this have happened frequently enough, with more than enough of them working out in his favor to suggest that Trump has a knack for picking and winning fights that conventional wisdom says he shouldn't.

It's not like this is anything new or revolutionary, the aggressor has always made the rules. It worked when the Clintons were attacking their victims and the 'Vast Right Wing Conspiracy'. It worked when Obama was attacking Republicans and ordinary citizens(far worse in my opinion, than responding to elected officials that attacked him first IMO). The only things really new or different here is that Trump is ostensibly a Republican and is doing it despite concerted push back from the media instead of of having them be complicit in the effort.

Let's be clear here on your last point, the coverage of this feud was clearly winding down with Pelosi doing a pretty good job of separating herself and other slightly less bat S crazy Dems from the AOC wing of the party. Now, the Dems have had to make a tough choice between two bad options and most have chosen to tie themselves back to AOC. The Pelosi/AOC war is certainly not over, it will fester until it pops back up again later. In fact the seeds have already been sewn for it to re-ignite with AOC calling for impeachment and Pelosi wanting little part in pursuing it at this time. Millennials like AOC are not used to being told no or being upstaged. She will not drop the feud with Nancy until she gets what she wants and she will be compelled to continue escalating attacks on Trump and the country, all of which will likely benefit Trump in the end.
Yes. Trump is running on instinct, and often enough he has come out on top of that. But he's also hurt by that too. I think as things played out, dems keep making fools of themselves so I think I'd be content with doing just enough trolling to keep dem's craziness in front of American's, and really, the rest of the world. Trump running on pure Trumpian instinct plays well to Trumpers, but not so much to moderates. He needs to be in the position in late summer next year to be able to say, "They said I'd blow up the world. I haven't. They said I'd ruin the economy, I made it better than it's been in decades. They said I couldn't accomplish anything, and I've gotten X,Y,Z done, and the things I haven't accomplished were because they put their party ahead of people. I haven't proven myself to be the horrible person they claimed I was. Here's what I've accomplished <list of accomplishments>. Here's how people are better off than they were 4 years ago. Democrats have done <long list of crazy stuff Democrats want>. Here's my sane policies <contrast Dem's bat-**** crazy ideas with his>"

Trumpers alone won't elect Trump. Trumpers alone didn't elect him the first time. He needs more than just Trumpers this time. His tweeting isn't wining him those people. I think that message would make a better case to sane people who just want to stop the cultural bleeding. I mean. I'm not a fan, but I'm likely going to vote for him, but only because the choice will be between bat**** crazy and Trump. The way I see it, it's the only way to stop this ride from heading off an ideological cliff.

Everyone has a right to complain and try and change things, that's kinda the point of a democracy / republic (chose one).

Of course, calls for violence and attempting to totally shutdown debate are completely unacceptable. However, AFAIK, AOC (i.e. the topic of this thread) has done neither.
You don't think her rhetoric tends to encourage violence against ice? Complaining and trying to change things is one thing. But she, by her own admission, is trying to seize enough power to force the change she wants. That's the difference between advocacy and activism.

The people who elected Trump (see: demographics of swing voters in MI, PA, WI, NC, FL, etc.) likely aren't even on Twitter, and don't care what Trump or anyone else says on Twitter.

Personally, I believe Trump's tweets are an intentional tactic. It is a rather brash tactic and not one that I would choose to use, but it is one that works for him. It works, because he knows that his tweets will elicit certain responses from certain sources, and those responses are what he is after. Is it "4D chess"? What ever that means, no. But I believe it is calculated and intentional.

And while Trump's tweets likely have no impact on the people who elected him, the responses certainly do.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to chipbennett again.

I do not think he makes many mistakes In his strategy.

I think he understands exactly what he is doing. It sometimes makes his "Political" allies cringe, But usually gets the desired response from his opponents.
