On this day, I prefer to think of his actions to save his employees in Tehran over his political choices.

Maybe he was ahead of his time. He might have done well if running now and if he was 20 years younger. I still remember "That great sucking sound".....

I deeply admire this man but I will never forgive him for quitting the 92 race. I firmly believe he would have won. Even had he not he would have made such a strong showing that we might have finally gotten a legit 3rd party out of the deal.

While not really what I was looking for, it is hard to be too critical of a man having to feel his way through trying to do something not seen in American politics since the Repiblican Party displaced the Whigs.

He certainly was accurate about both nafata and Monica with that statement.;)

Had they gone all in and got married, I believe her secret service code name would have been "Hoover"--no, wait, everyone in the Clinton administration was an "E", so "Electrolux"?

He was basically Trump, with more manners! And he got the full Trump treatment from the beehive. Remember the petulant, hypocritical ass Al Gore "presenting" him with the photo of Smoot and Hawley during their debate on the Larry King show? He was ridiculed and lambasted as a protectionist who wanted to start another Depression. That was the preferred approach of Globalists of the time; NAFTA wasn't law yet, and China still wasn't admitted to the WTO. Their trade goals were still unsecured, and Perot was their biggest threat.

However, none of them could bring themselves to actually state that what he was saying was untrue. They were just made at him for _saying_ it. He predicted after NAFTA was signed, there would be a "giant sucking sound" of US jobs going to Mexico. And time has proven he was precisely right.

I still remember him saying, "I'm one big ear!" Hilarious! ;)

Perot took a lot of GOP votes at Bush's expense. I suppose another strong independent candidate would do the same, thereby putting another socialist in the White House. One who, unlike Clinton will not enrich his/her wallet or chase poon tang, but instead will work to destroy us.
