As the title reads. Who is, or what does a person do to become a domestic enemy of the Constitution? It was put in the oath's. What exactly is a domestic enemy of the Constitution?

    Oath of enlistment:

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic

I would presume that it would be to take part in some form of armed insurrection. A foreign enemy seems obvious, "someone not from here." That means a domestic enemy means "from here." So at least a citizen of the USA and doing something actively against the federal government that is outside of the rules. Suing the fed in court wouldn't make one a domestic enemy in my opinion, as you are playing within the rules. Secession? Definitely domestic.

Just because someone is attempting to thwart the fed doesn't make them a domestic enemy, but the farther they go there will be some Rubicon that they cross.

    Regards,

    Doug

PS - The oath also requires one to "...follow all lawful orders...". When was the last time you saw someone with the guts to throw down and refuse an order because they believed it to be unlawful? There IS a defense to disobeying orders, that the order given was unlawful.

Well terrorists hate the Federal Government, yet it's only considered a crime of terrorism. Also is the Federal Government considered the Constitution? I don't think it is. It's a type of Government derived from said Constitution. Enemy of the Constitution not Federal government is in the oath. Right now our government is not even close to following the constitution it is way outside it's bounds.
There again a distinction between Constitution and Government. The government, the Constitution. Both are different from one another. Or am I reading to much into this? Any constitutional lawyers on this forum to resolve this matter lol.

The true domestic enemy of the Constitution?

    The popular vote.

But that's part of the Constitution, too... so it becomes kinda circular.

Certainly those who openly advocate for the abolition of the Bill of Rights, in whole or in part, are not friends of the Constitution, but I'm not certain they are "domestic enemies" as long as it's just talk.

What would the founders of our Constitution call a domestic enemy? By Original Intent.

An "enemy of the Constitution" could very well be construed as all those who have amended the original intent of the fledgling document . Being such, those who seek to change such would be in disagreement with its inherent values set forth at the founding. As has been mentioned by so-called representatives, intent on "fundamentally changing" the way of these united States. 'We the people', are solely responsible to hold such accountable and responsible.~~"One Man's Opinion!"

Treason is defined in the constitution. The original intent is pretty clear.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.

Congress pretty much does that by training and giving terrorists money.

Training supposed Good Syrian terrorists to fight ISIS is aid to an enemy IMO. So is sending money to and supporting countries that hate us.
