Secession in the Pacific Northwest? Some Oregon residents petition to join Idaho
Secession in the Pacific Northwest? Some Oregon residents petition to join Idaho

Frustrated by liberal policies, some Oregon residents petitioned to leave the state – by moving the border with Idaho westward.
The movement secured initial approval from two counties and aims to get enough signatures to put the proposal on ballots in November, according to the group called Greater Idaho.

Bad idea. It would eventually work out in the liberal's favor. They'd just get ran off in their current local and re-locate in these new revised states and just vote in the same people and garbage that they left before. Liberals never learn from their mistakes.

Sad part is that it seems NyleRN is correct. Those who flee the oppression of commiefornia just move to another state and start changing it to that which they fled from.

I prefer county by county. I don't have the map here but it's amazing how small the blue dots are compared to the red swaths in our country.

Motto could be “Give us your tired, your politically oppressed, your huddled masses, yearning to pump your own gas. The wretched deplorables of your bat**** crazy shores.”

You are assuming that all voters in a "liberal" state are homogenous in attitude and belief. Ask a farmer in downstate Illinois about how he votes. Ask a logger in Northern California or Oregon.

Yes, there is a problem when liberals get fed up with their own states and move elsewhere, but not everyone in these places are liberals. Most in urban areas are, but not more rural areas.

You can see that in Monroe county Indiana.

Wonder why that is? Is it that the urban environment creates the leftist ideas? Or do people with leftist predispositions migrate to urban areas? (It seems to me it’s the latter, probably).

"The future inhabitants of the Atlantic & Missipi States will be our sons. We leave them in distinct but bordering establishments. We think we see their happiness in their union, & we wish it. Events may prove it otherwise; and if they see their interest in separation, why should we take side with our Atlantic rather than our Missipi descendants? It is the elder and the younger son differing. God bless them both, & keep them in union, if it be for their good, but separate them, if it be better."

That was in relation to states. I wonder how he would feel if parts of states wanted to break away. Somehow, I doubt he would go along with that, as it opens the door to a never-ending pairing down of jurisdictions.

Well. The bat**** crazier progressives think it’s immoral to live in the country, especially if you work in the city. If they could, they’d make that illegal.

In that vein, in the past, I remember hearing of some of them preaching about reducing the human population for the sake of the earth. Strangely though, I haven’t seen stories yet about them cheering the advent of this corona-virus...that’s got to be warming the cockles of their hearts.

They can re-name what is left of California "Dumbf**kistan" and concede it to Mexico!
We need to keep Edwards AFB, Vandenberg AFB, Palmdale Plant 42, MCRD San Diego, MCAS Miramar, Fort Irwin, 29 Palms, and China Lake. The rest of Californistan can probably go (Pebble Beach’s green fees have gotten too high).

Also funny how they want the population reduction to be "others", and not "themselves".
