    Anyone who signs on to the the platform of death, taxes and gun control (D) should not get your vote. In the primaries you need to look at the statements of the (R) candidates who are running.

    Candidates today are like those cups that change color with temperature changes, turn up the heat and red seems to turn to blue while you watch...

    If the candidate is Republican=Most Pro Gun..
    Democrat=Most Anti-Gun...

    I know that sounds simple, but it is a fact...Bill.

    Agreed, but there are many non-party affiliated positions on the ballot.
    If we're to clear out the governmental rot, we must do it at all levels, starting locally.
    Otherwise those locals fester into statewide and national cankers.

    Absolutely.
    However, coverage of some races (ie. judicial retention) reveals little about the candidates, or doesn't allow for platform statements.

    Sadly this is the state of modern politics. Never has the world seen so many upright bipedal vertibrates that yet somehow lack a spine (and many a brain) as inhabit the halls of our capitols.
    They are the freeze- dried version of actual human beings. Flavor of the day.

    To me, the races for judges are always the toughest to figure out. Most simply don’t have the inside baseball knowledge to figure out if most of them are worth keeping or tossing. Sporadically, some of our INGO lawyers will post an opinion but those are few and far in between.

    Sometimes the only thing I can see about a Judge is who appointed them. The politician who appointed them probably chose the most ideologically identical they could.
