There was a study done in which moderates and conservatives could accurately predict how those on the left would respond to certain questions. By contrast, those on the left were less accurate in predicting responses of those who were either moderate or right leaning. My opinion is that is an aspect of what we are seeing here: that the left does not understand why people would vote for Trump, combined with a disbelief that Hilary lost, and that the polls were so wrong. For many of them, thanks in part to cognitive dissonance, there could not be any other explanation for why Trump won.

Never mind the millions of $ spent on investigations, inquiries, a failed impeachment effort, and more evidence being released that the FBI spied on the Trump team. All of which could not prove that Russia worked with the Trump team.

Since you can't disprove a negative, they'll continue to believe what ever they want to believe. No amount of evidence showing wrong doing, on their side, will persuade them. TDS is a very real mental illness.

This was in response to something going on at work at the time where someone was maliciously blaming someone else for a production problem. Once the lie had been “confirmed” and repeated, nothing could be said to redirect the group towards an actual solution to the problem.
