I know I haven't seen eye-to-eye with a lot of you over the years. Libertarians and Republicans don't share everything in common, after all. We've argued about foreign policy, vaccines, conspiracy theories, drunk driving, Ron Paul, you name it. But culturally, I'm a Christian and have always been quite conservative.

I've giggled at unhinged SJWs right alongside most of you. It was like watching National Geographic, seeming so foreign. I knew they had their tentacles into higher education, and much of urban culture. I know it's Marxism 2.0. 2 Marx 2 Furious. Neo-Marxism 2, The Awakening. Call it what you will. I also know they've been making a concerted effort to tear down the very fabric of our treasured western culture for a century. If anyone disagrees with that, let's discuss it - but I think you all know.

This past year has been... different. Churches shut down by Sheriffs, even in my rural neck of the woods. Businesses destroyed by government mandate. Tens of millions of people sitting at home with government-paid vacations, while virtual signaling and guilting anyone who doesn't. Mask-wearing mandates, but enforced selectively by RACE? The collectivist mindsets there were troubling, but that wasn't the peak.

For me, the peak of my concern was during the race riots. Race riots are nothing new. Police brutality is nothing new. Looting and vandalism is nothing new. But this is the first time in my life that I've seen normal, decent, even somewhat conservative people actually defend looting. What? Have we descended into full-blown clown world? Grown men are stepping over dead security guards hauling out flat-screen televisions, and otherwise seemingly sane people are on social media saying things like "Well... who are we to judge." "I mean, we should have listened..." "They're just expressing their oppression". Looting. We're defending looting. BLM, a 100% political organization, has effectively made it hate-speech to even disagree with them about any of it.

So, what do you guys think? Are we past the point of no return? Can our nation and culture be taken back from these do-nothing degenerates? And if so, will it require bloodshed? Is there enough American spirit left for us to reignite the fires of individualism and freedom? Obviously, nobody can predict the future. Just interested in your thoughts.

What conservatives have you seen defending looting? I think just about everyone here on INGO has been more than vocal in condemning the behavior we're seeing. The only people I've seen defending it are bat-**** crazy liberals.

Good to see you btw. :) Have you heard? Even Alpo is a Republican now! ;)

    Yikes! Things have changed!

None here, but people from church, etc. Mostly white women, to be blunt.

I'm well, how are you? Thought I'd check in with y'all. This place feels so sane compared to everywhere else!

In a word "NO".....we have lost any grip we had on the republic. It is still breathing but man are we taking a beating when erasing a BLM banner painted on a street the tax payers paid for is no a hate crime. WTAF have we allowed to happen here.

I'm well, thanks, and hope you are too. And I was only kidding about Alpo, but he's definitely trending more conservative. :)

Well, with my two little ones, my internet time has been sporadic. With what time I did have, I got pretty heavily entrenched in SJW groups on FB and elsewhere (with anonymous accounts) . It's an interesting culture to study. I've learned the lingo and the mindset, purely out of curiosity.

They have infiltrated _everything_. It's pretty wild.

The thing is... They're utterly useless. Almost none of them appear to be competent in any skill besides taking offense. At some point a cultural war has to move into the material world, and I don't think that works in their favor.

Dude, where ya been? Some of us having been sounding the alarm for years. Just check out the "Insane Social Justice Thread."

They took over academia decades ago. They've infiltrated local governments, corporations, school boards and the media. The prospect of another four years of Trump has brought them out front and center because they realize this may be their last best chance of taking power.

I don't think we're too far gone yet, but it's close. If Trump wins in November it will get real interesting as they rachet the temper tantrum up to 11. If Biden wins things will get real interesting as they'll think they have a mandate to keep on this path.

At some point normal people will have to stand up and say enough of this crap. Whether or not enough are willing to do so remains to be seen. Right now a lot of people are afraid to speak up for fear of being called racist. At some point, the word will become meaningless. To me it already has, but when someone thinks their job is on the line they are likely to stay quiet. But eventually we will hit a tipping point. For me personally, no job is worth watching my country be destroyed. I will speak against this insanity as long as I have breath in my lungs.

We shall see where this all goes.

I think you're right here, and that's tough. When you've got a family to support and they've trashed the economy with their virus propaganda, it's a scary prospect to stand up to them.

This is what those funding these leftist groups are counting on. Most average Americans, particularly conservatives, but Democrats too, have jobs, families and just want to be left alone.

Meanwhile those pushing critical race theory, Marxism and all of the other nonsense know that there is no shortage of jobless, dissallusioned useful idiots available for them to rile up and send into the streets to smash stuff.

I admire your fortitude in that regard.

Where do you think we go from here? Do you think we'll settle back into peaceful complacency for a bit while it continues to fester?

Or do you think there's going to be a fight?

I’ve been wondering the same thing!

In a country where you can be fired/cancelled for things you said 30-years ago, disagreeing with BLM (the organization, not the actual lives), social media opinions against what the Bible calls sin, etc..

I’m the only provider in our home, I’ve become very silent, not sure we/you can really change the hearts of those that are Marxists and/or Anarchists.

I can and do pray, and as much as I should NOT, spend time obsessing about what I think is coming. I always heard the US isn’t mentioned @ Armeggedon, I think I now know why.

I don't think you see the gloves really come of until what people stand to lose if they do stand up and what they lose if they don't become largely indistinguishable. At first, this one might be on the boomers and other retirees who are tougher to cancel

    Hi SteveH! Howyabeen?

I think Bug is very close. People have not "lost enough" yet. They are still thinking they can pick up the turd by the clean end, stay quiet, and make deals with the enemy if necessary to protect what they have. They don't feel they've been personally cost anything yet, so they're staying mum. They have a President who is, at least nominally, fighting back, so maybe the feeling of alarm isn't that high yet.

That will change if Biden is President. We have to keep people focused like a laser beam on that fact.

Also, I believe the best thing you can do is FIRE A BUNCH OF YOUR LOCAL OFFICIALS! Since they're the ones who are mostly asleep at the wheel, or directly steering the bus into the ditch. Me, personally, I will vote to fire Greg Holcomb's ass and Hogwart's, because I think I can tolerate a Democrat in the Gub "mansion" for 4 years while Republicans continue to have a legislative majority, just to send a message that heavy-fisted government will not be tolerated. I think any Democrat who is elected will get the Joe Donnelly treatment, one term and done. But if this is done to a _lot_ of local officials who either cracked down on law-abiding people, or else failed to punish the crap elements of society, it will send a message.

I believe we have past the point of no return and will never totally take back which was stolen. Sure, in the conservative circles we still have the conservative strength that will never back down or give into socialism......sure; I've heard that before. The liberal opposition is slowly chipping away at our constitution, our history, our morality....ever so slowly. There are blatant anti-Americans that have been elected to office, judges that write or abolish law, politicians who support a historical change in our system. Children are not being taught the constitution but rather Marxism, the gay agenda and anti-American viewpoints. You have mayors using tax payers money to write crap on the streets in hopes of swaying an election; crap that openly supports death to whites all in the text of racism. Government officials openly honoring fugitives, criminals and others who openly hate America. Mayors and governors willing to destroy the economy, create fear, and induce control in hopes of manipulating an election. Oh, the china flu.....that crap alone has certainly changes America, forever.

That is just the tip of the iceberg.

Can we turn it around? No way. We may slow it down but never stop it. They have been slowly turning the heat up and the water is about to boil. No turning back.

We're already in a fight, only it's mostly online. Congress seriously needs to do something to prevent tech companies from censoring conservative opinion online. That will only happen if Republicans can keep the White House and take both houses of Congress. A tough challenge for sure. It is helpful to keep in mind that Twitter is not real life. It's a small collection of the loudest nut balls, but corporations keep looking at Twitter as if it's representative of what people actually think. It's not

I think defunding public Universities has to happen too. We can't allow these indoctrination mills to continue to erode actual science and critical thinking skills.

I always will have hope we can turn it around. Truth and logic will always win out. That's why it's critical to have conversations in person to find common ground. Speak the truth backed by love for your fellow Americans.

Also, this is definitely worth a watch. It's long, but it does an excellent job walking through how this started, where it's going, and how we might start to snuff it out.

This guy knows so much about woke culture and how academia fuels it, that he is actually able to win awards for fake research papers that troll the entire concept and resulting craziness that has sprouted up around critical theory.

Holcomb wouldn't say "No" to the topic of changing the name of the STATE OF INDIANA!
Just that he "hasn't given it any thought" up to this point... but he DOES have a native american friend so that's cool I guess...

Steve, we’re friends on facebook. I don’t know how many of my posts you actually take the time to read Anymore but I know you have responded to a few of them in the past. Over there, I’m much more critical of the church on these issues than I am here. You might have seen some of those posts. But to a large degree, I lay the blame at the feet of the 20th century Christian church. We largely abandoned the field and nature abhors a vacuum. We got more interested in growing congregations by building concert halls/mega churches, preaching ear tickling gospel, creating new programs to attract tithe paying customers rather than lost sheep to be redeemed.

We got too caught up in the hope we’d be raptured up we forgot our commission. We started to believe the lies of separation of church and state and judge not. We forgot that being the church was more than simply spending an hour a week rocking out to Christian rock shows and a 10 minute self esteem building pep talk. To a large degree it is our fault. It may be too late but it definitely won’t change without a heart change.
