    Wow!

Your buddy is a good archer!

He's getting some great practice for harvesting venison too!

When I was a kid growing up in another State I used to harvest them with a Crossman air rifle and a flashlight... fun stuff... and much easier than a bow or even a gig for me.

Congrats to your buddy on his bow skills!

Ya, he's a pretty good shot. Ive heard of people using air rifles but never done it myself. I've only ever used a gig. It sure is alot of fun though, and the eatin's even better.

    Indeed it is!

I've never been good with a bow... I struggle with deer, let alone frogs!

I would take a gig any day to make sure I got a pan full of legs.

I'm heading out this weekend... don't know how the hot as hell weather is going to be on the frogs, but I hope I don't come back empty.

Just bought a gig from Bass Pro this week. It's Chinese but it was only a bit less than $2. They have 3 models 3, 5, +7 prong versions. I need to find someone with a pond!!! :):

i haven't went for frogs in years, but i always had the best luck with a fly rod. a long crappie rod/cane pole would work just as well. i tied a short piece of yarn onto a small hook (size 8 or 10), then dangle it in front of a frog. 9 times out of 10 the frog will strike at it and hook itself. much less splashing than a gig or arrow; i could haul in a frog, then go after it's neigbors.

Hey guys just keep in mind if you use a gig to take frogs it has to have a single row of tines and has to be 3 inches in width or less.
